Your responsibilities as a host
OffUrPlate collects your guests' food, drink and access needs so you can cater for them and they can take part. A few things to know — they matter because this is health information about other people.
- Your private link is yours alone. Anyone who has it can see every guest's answer. Don't forward it, post it, or share your screen showing it. If it gets out, create a fresh event and delete this one.
- Once you copy something out, it's yours to look after. If you save the summary, screenshot the list, or paste it into a shopping list or a caterer's form, that copy is outside OffUrPlate and we can't reach it — including if a guest later asks us to delete their answer. Keep those copies safe and delete them when the event's done.
- Everything is deleted 14 days after the event. You don't have to do anything. You can delete it sooner from the event's settings.
- OffUrPlate passes on what your guests tell you. It does not make food safe. For a severe allergy, speak to the guest directly — a form is not a substitute for a conversation.
- If you give us the names of the people you invited, that list is yours, and we hold it for you. Give us only the names of people you have a right to invite; where someone asks, tell them OffUrPlate holds their name for your event; remove anyone who asks you to. We keep an email only as a hash that cannot be read back, we never write to anyone on the list, we do nothing with it but what you ask, and it is deleted with the event.
Creating an event means you understand this.
What happens to your guests' information, in full, is in the privacy notice.
